What the D.C. metro area has been waiting for is finally arriving December of 2008, and no, we aren’t referring to a new president. Republic of Couture will open it’s doors in the Tyson’s Corner Mall with a bang as it welcomes Washington’s own DJ Armando, spinning a live in store set. As the only multi-brand retailer of it’s kind in the area Republic of Couture promises to provide the nation’s capital and the surrounding cities with the hottest in designer names, regardless of your political party. Republican or Democrat. Liberal or Conservative. Either way, you’ll find something you love. At ROC we hold these truths to be self evident; that all men are created equal.

The grand opening for this location is set for November 28 of 2008. This will be our largest location to date, with over 6000 sq. ft. loaded with everything from designer casual, funky and sexy, to high-end professional attire.

As always, we are making a noise upon our arrival… one of our scheduled events includes a live mixed set by DJ Armando from XM radio, along with a runway show, and live model mannequin’s. Republic of Couture to open 6,500 s/f flagship at The Shops at Atlas Park Glendale, NY - The Shops at Atlas Park has unveiled the addition of fashion forward Republic of Couture (ROC) to its collection of retailers in the 400,000 s/f lifestyle center. Atlas Park will not only become one of ROC’s first New York stores, but also its national flagship location. When it opens, ROC will feature 6,500 s/f of prime retail space, more than double the size of its average store.   “We’re thrilled to add ROC to our roster of premium shops and are excited to welcome our first national flagship,” said Damon Hemmerdinger, development director for The Shops at Atlas Park. “We’ve been searching for the full complement of fashion in our tenant mix; Republic of Couture-with its great selection of chic brands for men, women and children-is a major move in that direction.”

ROC is the brainchild of Argentinean-born Gaston Garcia, who plans to open at least 50 more ROC locations by the end of 2013. All ROC locations feature special occasion items and men’s, women’s, and children’s apparel from the finest European and American designers, purveying more than 150 brands. The Atlas Park flagship location will also sell designer shoes and sunglasses.

ROC is scheduled to open at the Shops at Atlas Park in mid-November, in a corner location next to Spokesman Cycles with substantial corner frontage. Linda Miller of LM Worldwide and Nina Maurello of A&Co. represented Atlas Park in the deal. ROC signed a 10-year lease in August for what will be one of the largest clothing retailers in the development.
